The CHIRON Group announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Spaichingen-based manufacturer of production equipment, Greidenweis Maschinenbau.
The CHIRON Group, a globally active manufacturer of milling machines & turnkey processes, wants to expand its capabilities in automation with the acquisition. The core business of Greidenweis remains unaffected. With the strategic and operational cooperation, both companies want to offer their customers attractive future-oriented solutions through optimised and new combinations of products, competences and know-how.
The CHIRON Group, headquartered in Tuttlingen, Germany, is a specialist for CNC-controlled, vertical milling and mill-turn machining centres as well as turnkey manufacturing solutions. The group has a worldwide presence with production and development sites, sales and service branches as well as commercial agencies. Around two thirds of the machines and solutions sold are exported. Key customer industries are the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, medical and precision technology, aerospace and tool manufacturing.
