Fourth-generation H series 4-axis horizontal machining centers (HMCs) offer shorter idle times, increased milling performance, reduced service times, and more flexible customization.

H 2000, H 4000, H 5000, and H 6000 HMCs cover a stroke range from 630mm to 1,000mm: the first two models for HSK-A 63 tool holders, the larger ones with HSK-A 100. The Power package drive is designed for medium batch sizes of steel and difficult-to-machine materials. The Speed package is suitable for high-volume machining of cast iron, aluminum, and other light metals.

AutoSet technology in the Speed package adjusts the Z- and B-axis to optimize load capacity. Optimized tool changes save time for medium tool weights and reduce spindle run-up times to 1.4 to 2.6 seconds.

The in-house developed spindle for the Gen4 machines is available in three versions: Power (PC), Speed (SC), and Dynamic Cutting (DC). The DC units offer high torques and high speeds – with the DC 63 i version providing 16,000rpm and 180N•m and the DC 100 i option delivering 12,000rpm and 400N•m. Gear-driven spindles on H 5000 and H 6000 models are available with up to 2,292N•m torque.
