SWTOR Nihrot Hallway Story Mode Guide (R-4 Anomaly) - VULKK.com

This guide will help you get through the Nihrot Hallway in R-4 Anomaly Operation in Story Mode. This will save you time and effort compared to brute-forcing through it.

After you defeat Watchdog, you’ll be able to take a tram to get closer to Lord Kanoth. The tram lets you off at the top of a huge room with boatloads of trash. Thankfully, you’ll be able to skip most of it.

Drop down onto the crates that the first arrow is pointing to. It’s a long drop that will take away most of your HP, so heal up before proceeding. If only we still had Featherweight amplifiers…

You will only need to defeat the set of trash that is right next to where you drop down and then the ones guarding the entrance to the Nihrot hallway. Lord Kanoth and Lady Dominique are at the other end of this very deadly hallway filled with Nihrot.

At the end of the Nihrot hallway, there is an Attractor, which is a machine that will continually summon Gray Swarm adds until it is defeated. Eventually, you will be overrun with these adds, so speed is the name of the game when it comes to dealing with this mini-encounter.

Like most organisms, Nihrot is weak to fire, and BioWare has graciously provided us access to 3 valves that redirect fire into a portion of the hallway. Unfortunately, each valve is at the back of a room that is filled with fire.

The fire in these rooms can be briefly turned off by clicking a console in a different room on the opposite side of the hallway. Some coordination is required to ensure that the fire is deactivated ASAP, but not so soon that the fire will come back before the fire has been redirected.

It is possible for a single Sorcerer / Sage or Sniper / Gunslinger to do both actions by utilizing Phase Walk or Hololocate / Hideout, but the cooldown on those abilities is far too long for a single player to do it all 3 times.

There is also a set of adds guarding each room, but these can be dealt with by a single player.

Both tanks and healers need to stay in the middle and keep the adds occupied. Meanwhile, DPS will go into the rooms and click stuff.

It is essential that Gray Swarm Reapers do not aggro to DPS so that they free to burn the Nihrot as quickly as possible. They should be interrupted and stunned in order to minimize the amount of CC they are able to do.

DPS DO NOT TOUCH THE ADDS COMING THROUGH THE MIDDLE

I know all that AoE damage looks positively delicious, but tanks are gonna have a hard enough time keeping aggro on those Reapers as is because they’re gonna get CC’d to high heaven. They will not be able to compete with your damage output.

DPS should be partnered up such that 1 DPS will go to temporarily deactivate the fire while the other turns the valve to redirect the fire to the hallway. The other pair of DPS should wait in the main hallway and be ready to run through and click the next set of fire consoles as soon as the Nihrot is burned away. The Nihrot will hurt until it is gone, so don’t bother running through early.

While the second pair of DPS are running to the second pair of buttons, the first pair will return to the hallway (and not DPS anything!!!) and wait until the fire has burned away the second set of Nihrot and then run to the third pair of buttons just as the second pair of DPS did for the second pair of buttons. In essence, the first pair of DPS are leap-frogging the second pair of DPS.

The Attractor is within 30m range when there’s only 1 segment of Nihrot left to burn, so mDPS can leap to it and rDPS can hit it. The pair of DPS that did the second set of buttons should focus down the Attractor as soon as they return to the hallway.

Clicking the blue door past the Hulking Monstrosity subteroth adds will activate the train. If you think your group will wipe before you’re able to take down the Attractor(s) and remaining adds, I recommend running past everything to click on the door and just accept the wipe.

There is currently a second Attractor that spawns in the same spot as the first too. It’s unclear if this is a bug or deliberate, but either way it’s really hard to get it all done in a single shot. Thankfully, once the Nihrot has been burned away, it doesn’t respawn, so you don’t ever have to redo anything even if you wipe.
