United Precision Services, Cincinnati, has partnered with Brazil’s Mausa SA Equipamentos Industriais to become the exclusive provider of Mausa’s line of horizontal boring mills in North America.

These CNC boring machines are suitable for oil and gas, hydraulic turbines, windmill, earthmoving and heavy industry, energy, naval, railroad, and similar industries requiring high chip removal rates with tight tolerances.

The machines are equipped with a cartridge spindle positioned in the centre of double-walled columns. The machines have linear axes with high feeds, continuous torque ratio, and are configurable with hydrostatic rotary tables, pick-up milling heads, and tool changers, along with additional accessories.

“Today’s metal industry OEMs and suppliers are challenged by tightened delivery schedules and rigid quality specifications,” said Danie Jacobs, president of United Precision Services. “And North American manufacturers look to us for answers. As a result, we are extremely selective about those we represent, and Mausa has long demonstrated its leadership in terms of quality, durability, and innovation. Mausa offers some of the world’s most advanced CNC boring and milling machine concepts and technologies.”

For the Brazilian machine tool manufacturer, this partnership opens the door to a significant and largely untapped opportunity to grow the Mausa brand throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“We are excited to partner with United Precision Services,” said Mauricio Bacellar, CEO of Mausa SA Equipamentos Industriais. “As we seek to expand our presence into new geographic markets, it is important that we align ourselves with companies that share our corporate values and passion for quality and dependability. United Precision Services is the natural choice.”
